Moleskins Count.

I felt that the trend with Moleskins kinda died down from last year so I decided to start my own. It's a good feeling to draw for myself again and with these stupid things being around 20 dollars a pop, I make sure every page counts - which counts towards my abilities - and that counts towards my future! (What a scary fucking word.)

I dunno. I resisted getting one because of the trend too. But the paper is so smooth, and thick that it's terrific for fine detail work.

I don't think it is just a trend. Moleskines are nice books. My 2cents anyway.

i agree with the note on the first page, what's wrong with her calling out people in class for not looking up.
Anyways, I agree about the moleskin thing, i bought one a couple months ago, still haven't touched it, i want everything in it to look pro. So much pressure.
Best page here is the first two, feels like im back in class just looking at it.

I agree with Taj, too much pressure to make 'good art' which is why I prefer my sketchbooks to made out of crappy paper

I used to worry about making everything perfect in my moleskin and it made using it unpleasant. As soon as I let that go things seemed to fall into place naturally.

Yea. Pressure to keep things brilliant takes away from it all. Letting it all go Nat is a talent on it's own. // And Caitlin, your sketchbook is better then a moleskin. You made it yourself with your choice in everything - like the "staple" like binding!
